Rohit Dhawan directorial, Shehzada starring Kartik Aaryan and Kriti Sanon is set to hit the theatres this Friday, i.e., on February 17. According to advance booking trends, the action-comedy has received a positive response at the ticket counter, sold only 3483 in advance until Tuesday morning at the three key national chains, PVR (1845), Inox (1000), and Cinepolis (638).
As per reports, the pre-bookings of Aaryan’s film indicate that the film will have a good day one business. It is set to open to sold out shows as it is expected that the film will make over Rs 8 crore plus. Looking at the ration, the film has received a 15% more pre-booking in comparison to Varun Dhawan’s Bhediya. However, it is lagging behind Ranbir Kapoor and Sanjay Dutt’s film Shamshera. The pre-booking are 25 % less in comparison so far.
The film is the Hindi remake of Telugu film Ala Vaikunthapurramuloo that starred Allu Arjun in the lead role. The trailer and the songs of the film have already received a positive response. Now all eyes are on Shehzada’s box office collections.
For the unversed, Shehzada was earlier slated to release on February 10 but was postponed by a week to avoid any sort of a clash with Shah Rukh Khan’s Pathaan, which is having a historic run at the box office.
After this, Kartik Aaryan will be seen in Aashiqui 3, directed by Anurag Basu, in the pipeline. Kartik’s last film Freddy was released directly on Disney+ Hotstar.
