"She brings instinct to her performance": Sidharth Malhotra on Collaborating with Janhvi Kapoor in Param Sundari

From the captivating trailer to its soulful music, Janhvi has already sparked curiosity with her transformation into a character written as half Tamil and half Malayali — a first in her career.

During the Delhi promotions of Param Sundari, co-star Sidharth Malhotra couldn’t stop praising Janhvi’s dedication and natural flair. “I had a wonderful time working with Janhvi,” Sidharth shared. “Her work ethic is something I absolutely love, especially in a genre like this. More than just relying on the script, she brings instinct to her performance, reacts in the moment, and creates that magic every actor looks for. And Janhvi has that instinct in abundance.”

Highlighting her collaborative spirit, he added: “She’s always forthcoming when it comes to trying new things and improvising. You can already see glimpses of that magic in the trailer.”

Sidharth fondly recalled one of his favourite scenes, where Janhvi’s Kerala-born character schools his North Indian boy about India’s linguistic diversity. “One of my most favourite scenes of hers is when she channels her inner Malayalam force and schools us North Indian boys about the different languages in our country,” he said with a smile.

As for what’s next, Janhvi has a packed line-up — sharing screen space with Varun Dhawan in Karan Johar’s Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari and stepping into her first big pan-India outing Peddi opposite Ram Charan.
