Salman Khan has shared on his social media account his official first look and the superstar is all set to kick-start shoot. He wrote, “#BattleOfGalwan”.

Directed by Apoorva Lakhia and produced under the banner of Salman Khan Films, the movie has kicked off its first major shooting schedule in Leh. Climax sequences—reportedly among the most intense portions of the film—are currently being filmed near the Line of Actual Control (LAC), with the production team working at over 15,000 feet above sea level in freezing conditions.

Actress Chitrangda Singh has also joined the unit in Leh for a 15-day shoot. While her role remains under wraps, it is believed she will play Colonel Babu’s wife, anchoring the emotional core of the story that oscillates between the battlefield and the families waiting back home.

While the project was initially rumored for an Eid 2026 release, sources now suggest that Battle of Galwan might target Independence Day weekend 2026 or Bakri Eid, depending on post-production timelines and the completion of its Ladakh and Mumbai schedules.
