Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani box office collection day 1: After seven year long hiatus, Karan Johar is back with his latest directorial ‘Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani’ aka ‘RRKPK’, which has finally hit the screens today.
The film starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt, who are sharing the screen for the second time after Gully Boy, has received positive reviews from critics owing to its intriguing storyline and impressive performances. The film has garnered positive word of mouth as it is getting good support from the audience across the country.
Coming to the box office performance, Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios’ production took a fair start in the morning with around 13% occupancy. From the evening shows, it witnessed a decent jump in footfall and registered a very good opening of Rs 11.10 crores at the domestic box office from approx. 3200 screens across India.
On the weekend, we can expect something between Rs 40-45 crore. It depends on word of mouth. If it is good, it will go up to Rs 45 crore.
