Rishab Shetty, along with the cast and crew of Kantara Chapter 1, met Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta on Tuesday at the Mukhyamantri Janseva Sadan. The meeting was a reflection of the increasing cultural influence of Indian cinema and its role in preserving and projecting the country’s traditions and spiritual heritage.
Taking to her official social media, CM Gupta shared a photograph from the meeting and lauded the film’s portrayal of India’s rich cultural tapestry. In her caption, she wrote: Met Rishab Shetty, actor and director of Kantara Chapter 1 and his team at the Mukhyamantri Janseva Sadan today”.

Kantara: Chapter 1 is a prequel to the critically acclaimed 2022 Kannada film Kantara. The new chapter delves into the mystical origins of the land of Kantara, grounding its narrative in folklore, mythology, spiritual themes, and age‑old conflicts.
Written, directed, and headlined by Rishab Shetty, Kantara Chapter 1 also stars Sapthami Gowda, Gulshan Devaiah, Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram, PD Satish Chandra, Prakash Thuminad, and others.
