This came as a shock to the production house, which had invested heavily in pre-production and a promotional shoot. Sources close to the producers indicated attempts to salvage the project, but Singh remained firm in his decision. However, official statements from Singh, Varma, and Mythri Movie Makers paint a different picture. They acknowledge “creative differences” but emphasize an amicable parting.

Ranveer Singh stated, “Prasanth is a very special talent… Hopefully, we will collaborate on something exciting in the future.” Varma echoed the sentiment, praising Singh’s talent and expressing hope for a future collaboration.

Mythri Movie Makers acknowledged that “everyone’s intentions were right,” but sometimes things “aren’t meant to be at that time.” Both parties have pledged to work together on future projects.

The decision took the makers by shock as they were all gearing up to launch the film in a mega way. “While all the energies were aligned, the report has dropped like a bomb to the makers. They are shell shocked and wondering if there is a way to reconcile with Ranveer Singh on the film, as a lot of money has already been invested in promo shoot and pre-production,” a source close to the producers shared with us.

Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh has Rohit Shetty’s Singham Again, Aditya Dhar’s Dhurandhar and Farhan Akhtar’s Don 3.
