Bollywood actress Rani Mukerji is all set to reprise the role of a tough police officer in the third part of her hit film Mardaani. Announced in 2024, the film is scheduled to begin shooting in June this year.
According to a recent report in Mid-day, Mardaani 3 is now in the pre-production stage. The portal revealed that the makers are currently having look tests for important characters. Director Abhiraj Minawala reportedly plans to take the film on floors by June of this year.
The portal’s source stated, “Auditions are going on to bring in fresh talent. The emphasis is on finding a strong villain.”
The production team has also finalized key shooting locations, with major portions set to be filmed in Mumbai and Delhi. In the coming weeks, additional locations in North India will be confirmed.
Mardaani 3 is being directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra. The film is slated to release in cinemas in 2026.
