The makers of Ranabaali have officially announced the release date of the highly anticipated period drama starring Vijay Deverakonda. The film, directed by Rahul Sankrityan, is set to arrive in theatres worldwide on October 16, 2026.
Mythri Movie Makers shared the striking new poster along with the release date announcement. Carrying the tagline, “The darkest chapter of our history opens this October,” the announcement hints at an intense and historically rooted story. The makers also used the hashtag #NeverForget, adding to the intrigue surrounding the film’s narrative.
The poster features Vijay Deverakonda in a rugged and intense avatar. Sporting long hair and a moustache, the actor is seen carrying a large traditional weapon on his shoulder, surrounded by smoke, dust and flying embers. The dark, earthy colour palette gives the poster a raw and dramatic period-film atmosphere.
The poster also confirms the film’s key creative credits. Rahul Sankrityan is directing the project, while Ajay-Atul are composing the music. The film is produced by Naveen Yerneni and Y Ravi Shankar under Mythri Movie Makers, with T-Series Films also associated with the project.
Vijay Deverakonda plays the titular character Ranabaali. Rashmika Mandanna is also part of the cast as Jayamma, while international actor Arnold Vosloo plays Sir Theodore Hector.
