T-Series has announced the beginning of the much-awaited musical journey of Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana: Part 1 with a special Ganesh Chaturthi poster. Designed in a rich black-and-gold palette, the announcement combines devotional symbolism with the grandeur associated with the upcoming epic film.
The poster opens with a golden Om symbol, setting an explicitly spiritual tone. Its central message declares that “Every auspicious beginning begins with an invocation”, before announcing that the musical journey of Ramayana will begin with the unveiling of the Siya Ram poster at 7:30 AM IST, followed shortly by the first musical offering, “Jai Jai Ram.”
According to the poster, “Jai Jai Ram” has been composed by A.R. Rahman, with lyrics by Dr. Kumar Vishwas. The song will be performed by two of India’s most prominent playback singers, Shreya Ghoshal and Arijit Singh.
Ramayana: Part 1 is the first installment of a planned two-part cinematic adaptation of the ancient Indian epic attributed to Valmiki. The film is directed by Nitesh Tiwari, with Shridhar Raghavan among the screenplay credits, and is produced by Namit Malhotra and Yash. The project has been mounted as a large-scale international production, with DNEG leading its visual-effects work.
The principal cast includes Ranbir Kapoor as Rama, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshmana and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, alongside a large supporting ensemble.
The film is currently scheduled for a worldwide theatrical release on November 6, 2026, during the Diwali period.
