Ramayana: Namit Malhotra Announces ‘Rama’ Glimpse Release on Hanuman Jayanti

Producer Namit Malhotra has officially revealed that the first glimpse titled “Rama” from the much-anticipated film Ramayana will be unveiled on April 2, coinciding with the auspicious festival of Hanuman Jayanti.

The announcement was made on March 27, on the occasion of Ram Navami, through a heartfelt note shared by Malhotra on social media. Extending festive wishes, he reflected on the vision behind the ambitious cinematic project, emphasizing the responsibility and devotion involved in bringing the epic to life.

In his message, he wished everyone and said, “Shubh Rama Navami. This is a story that belongs to all of us, and every step we take has been guided by a deep sense of responsibility, devotion, and care to bring our very own Ramayana to life in its truest spirit and scale with utmost sincerity. we look forward to sharing the next glimpse, ‘Rama’ On 2nd April, On the auspicious occasion of Hanuman Jayanti, as we begin to showcase all these years of our effort through a grand world reveal with fans, celebrating this moment across the world. Thank you for your love, faith, and patience. Namit Malhotra”.

Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film boasts a star-studded ensemble cast. Ranbir Kapoor will portray Lord Ram, while Sai Pallavi takes on the role of Sita. Yash is set to play the formidable Ravana, with Sunny Deol appearing as Hanuman and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.

The project is being produced by Prime Focus Studios in collaboration with DNEG—an eight-time Academy Award-winning VFX powerhouse—and Yash’s Monster Mind Creations. With a vision to deliver a visually spectacular experience, the film is planned for a worldwide IMAX release.

The epic saga will be released in two parts, with the first installment scheduled for Diwali 2026, followed by the second part in Diwali 2027.
