Following the success of Jailer, Sun Pictures is teaming up with Superstar Rajnikanth for Thalaivar 171. The film will be directed by Lokesh Kanagaraj who is famous for Kaithi, Master and Vikram.
The official Instagram handle of Sun Pictures confirmed the news. They wrote, “We are happy to announce Superstar @rajinikanth’s #Thalaivar171 Written & Directed by @Dir_Lokesh An @anirudhofficial musical Action by @anbariv.”
Anirudh Ravichander, who has worked with Lokesh in Vikram and Leo, is composing the music for the upcoming movie as well. Anirudh also delivered a hit album and background score for Rajinikanth’s last film Jailer.
As per the latest reports, Lokesh Kanagaraj’s film with the Jailer actor will be a standalone venture. Reportedly, the movie will have zero connection with the Lokesh Cinematic Universe, or LCU, as it is popularly called.
