Director Siddharth Anand’s Pathaan is poised for a massive weekend box office collection. Three days collections stand at Rs 166.75 crore including all version. Having crossed the Rs 150 crore mark on day three, the coming days will determine how far the action thriller goes.
After making a humongous first day collection Rs 57 crore (Hindi 55 cr, Tamil and Telugu 2 cr) at the box office, Pathaan minted Rs 70.50 crore (Hindi 68 cr, Tamil and Telugu 2.50 cr) on Thursday. On Friday, it had witnessed a minor drop in footfalls and raked the business of Rs 39.25 crore nett (Hindi 38 cr, Tamil and Telugu 1.25 cr).
According to early estimates, Pathaan made Rs 53.25 cr (Hindi 51.50 and Tamil and Telugu 1.75 cr) on Saturday, thus taking the four-day total collection to Rs 220 crore (Hindi 212.50 cr, Tamil and Telugu 7.50 cr ).
Pathaan, Shah Rukh Khan’s first lead role since 2018’s Zero, is an action thriller set in Yash Raj Films’ spy universe. Pathaan stars SRK in the title role of a RAW agent who teams up with Deepika Padukone’s ISI agent to tackle a terror threat from the villainous Jim, played by John Abraham.
It is a great start to 2023 despite being a working day.
