Telugu actor NTR Jr. and filmmaker Prashanth Neel’s highly anticipated collaboration, tentatively titled ‘NTRNeel’, has finally locked its release date. The film is set to hit theatres on January 9, 2026.
The production house, Mythri Movie Makers, made the grand announcement on X, sharing a captivating poster that hinted at the film’s epic scale. “This time, the earth will tremble under his reign! #NTRNeel will step onto the soil on January 9th, 2026 MAN OF MASSES @tarak9999 #PrashanthNeel @MythriOfficial @NTRArtsOfficial,” the post read.
The NTRNEEL team held an auspicious muhurat puja, attended by NTR Jr., Prashanth Neel, their families, and producers from NTR Arts and Mythri Movie Makers. Additional pictures from the puja ceremony have been released, showcasing the entire team behind NTRNEEL.
A source close to the production earlier revealed that the film will be titled Dragon. The decision to title the film Dragon was made possible thanks to the generosity of filmmaker Karan Johar. Karan held the rights to the title in Hindi and graciously relinquished them for NTR Jr. and Prashanth Neel’s project.
Director Prashanth Neel is currently occupied with Salaar: Part 2 – Shouryanga Parvam starring Prabhas, and Jr. NTR’s dates are also in high demand as he is busy with Devara: Part 1 and the subsequent sequel. However, the production team has confirmed that the filming for Dragon will commence in August 2024.
