Navratri has always been a festival that blends devotion, tradition, and personal reflection and actress Nikita Dutta is living proof of it this year. Apart from observing the customary fast until Ashtami, the actress chose to embrace an age-old ritual that brings both greenery and positivity into the home—growing khetri (barley seeds).
Sharing her festive journey on social media, Nikita revealed how she soaked the barley seeds overnight and sowed them in a pot on the first day of Navratri. In a heartfelt note, she expressed how the family watered the pot lightly twice a day, making it part of their daily aarti ritual.
The actress posted the video with a caption that says, “This Navratri apart from fasting until ashtami, i decided to grow “khetri” in my house. They are barley seeds, soaked overnight and sown in a pot on the first day of Navratri. We watered it lightly twice a day during our daily Aarti. And I feel the happiest now, looking at the healthy green sprouts on day 9. Jai Mata di 🌸♥️🙏”
Now, nine days later, the actress is overjoyed to see the pot thriving with fresh, healthy green sprouts—a symbolic reminder of growth, purity, and blessings.
With this, Nikita Dutta once again proved that while her on-screen roles captivate audiences, it’s her off-screen sincerity and spiritual outlook that continue to win hearts.
