Actor Nana Patekar, who is gearing up for the release of his much-awaited film The Vaccine War, recently reacted to not being a part of popular comedy franchise Welcome To The Jungle (Welcome 3).
On Tuesday, Nana Patekar broke his silence on not doing Welcome 3 at the trailer launch of his film ‘The Vaccine War’ in Mumbai. He said “Unko lagta hai hum purane ho gaye hain. Isiliye shayad unhone nahi liya. Inko (The Vaccine War makers) lagta hai abhi hum purane nahi hue hain, isiliye inhone le liya. Simple hai.”
The actor added, “Industry never shuts for anyone. If you want to do good work, people will approach you. I feel this is my first and last chance, utni hi jaan daalni chahiye usme. So everyone gets work, it only depends on you whether you want to do it or not.”
Welcome (2007), directed by Anees Bazmee and starring Akshay Kumar, Katrina Kaif, Nana Patekar, Anil Kapoor, Feroz Khan, Paresh Rawal, Mallika Sherawat, and other in pivotal roles. The film was a commercial success at the box office.
Nearly eight years later, in 2015, the team once again released the sequel, Welcome Back under Anees Bazmee’s direction. The film starred Shruti Hassan, Naseeruddin Shah, Ankita Shrivastava, Paresh Rawal and others.
