After multiple delays, finally the makers of Ajay Devgn’s next biographical sports drama, Maidaan, have confirmed the film’s release date – 23rd June 2023.
On Tuesday, Producer Boney Kapoor to his social media handles to announce the teaser release date along with a new poster of the film. In the caption, he wrote, “One Man. One Belief. One Spirit. Based on a true story. #Maidaan mein utrega saara India. Teaser out on 30th March.”
The Amit Sharma-directed spot drama is based on the golden years of Indian football. The movie tackles the true story of Syed Abdul Rahim (Devgn), who served as a coach and manager of the Indian football team from 1950 until his death in 1963.
The movie is produced by Boney Kapoor in association with Zee Studios. Maidaan also features Priyamani, Gajraj Rao and noted Bengali actor Rudranil Ghosh.
Along with Maidaan, Devgn will also be seen in Bholaa, which is all set to hit the screens on March 30th.
