Mahesh Babu has marked his birthday with a new look from his much-awaited film Varanasi, directed by acclaimed filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli. The actor shared a glimpse of his character Rudhra, offering fans a closer look at the ambitious world being created for the film.
Sharing the images on social media, Mahesh Babu wrote, “A little more of Rudhra’s world…”, while tagging Rajamouli and the official Varanasi account.
In Varanasi, Mahesh Babu plays Rudhra, an explorer who finds himself on a high-stakes mission involving the survival of Varanasi. The film combines adventure, action and large-scale spectacle, with an asteroid threat forming a major part of its storyline.
Alongside Mahesh Babu, Varanasi features Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles. The collaboration marks a major international-scale project for the Telugu superstar and Rajamouli following the director’s success with films such as Baahubali and RRR.
Varanasi is scheduled to arrive in cinemas worldwide on April 7, 2027. With Mahesh Babu leading the cast and S.S. Rajamouli at the helm, expectations are already high for the film.
