After much anticipation, the makers of Vishnu Vishal and Vikranth starrer Lal Salaam have finally released a teaser today. Directed by Aishwarya Rajinikanth, the sports drama stars Rajinikanth in an extended cameo.
On November 12th, Lyca Productions shared teaser on their social media handles and captioned it, “Wishing you a Happy Deepavali 🪔 Proudly presenting the power packed intense TEASER of #LalSalaam 🫡 to double your celebrations 💥”.
With Lal Salaam, Aishwarya returns to direction after a gap of seven years. Aishwarya’s last directorial project was Tamil action-thriller Vai Raja Vai, which also starred Dhanush in a cameo.
The upcoming film is billed to be a sports drama based on cricket. It will also reportedly have a political relevance. Lal Salaam has music composed by AR Rahman, marking his first-ever collaboration with Aishwarya. With cinematography by Vishnu Rangasamy, the film has editing by Pravin Baaskar.
Lal Salaam is scheduled to hit the big screens for Pongal 2024 in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Malayalam & Kannada.
