Kushi box office collection day 5: Vijay Deverakonda and Samantha starrer the recent Telugu release, Kushi is heading almost steadily on weekdays after a decent opening weekend at the box office.
On Friday, this romantic drama took a decent start in the morning and did a business of Rs 16 crores at the end. Showing an uptrend over the weekend, the film minted an amount of Rs 9.90 crores on Saturday and Rs 10.10 crores on Sunday. After the weekend, its total collection was recorded as Rs 35.25 crores.
On weekdays, Mythiri Movie Makers’ production recorded a significant drop in footfalls and managed to rake a business of Rs 2.15 crores on Monday. Then on Tuesday, on a steady note, it bagged an amount of Rs 1.75 crores and registered a total of Rs 39.15 crores nett at the domestic box office within 5 days.
Written and directed by Shiva Nirvana, Kushi also features Sachin Khedekar, Saranya Ponvannan, Murali Sharma, Lakshmi and Rahul Ramakrishna in supporting roles.
On the work font, Vijay’s upcoming project, under Gowtam Tinnanuri’s direction, co-starring Sreeleela, is currently referred to as ‘VD 12’. Samantha is set to appear in the Indian version of the action series ‘Citadel’ alongside Varun Dhawan.
