King of Kotha box office collection day 1: The much-awaited Malayalam-language action thriller film King of Kotha has finally hit screens on 24 August 2023 with mixed reviews.
Helmed by debutant director Abhilash Joshiy, the film stars Dulquer Salmaan, Shabeer Kallarakkal, Prasanna, Gokul Suresh, Aishwarya Lekshmi, Nyla Usha, Chemban Vinod Jose, Shammi Thilakan, Saran, Shanthi Krishna and Anikha Surendran.
Reportedly the movie released with a screen count of around 2500 worldwide across over 50 countries, the film is making its mark on the international cinematic landscape. Closer to home in Kerala, the movie boasts an impressive presence on 500+ screens.
On the opening day, it recorded almost 55% occupancy in all over India and it has reported around Rs 6.95 crores including Rs 5.75 cr from Malayalam, Rs 0.85 cr from Telugu and Rs 0.35 cr from Tamil. With this, King of Kotha becomes the fourth biggest worldwide opening day grosser in Mollywood.
