Yash’s latest offering KGF Chapter 2 has managed to keep up its strong hold on the ticket windows on the fifth day as well. The Hindi version the movie had already entered the coveted 200 crore club in a matter of just 5 days of its release.
Directed by Prashanth Neel, KGF: Chapter 2 was released in theatres on April 14. The film released amid much fanfare. A strong word of mouth and a lot of appreciation has managed to pull the audience to the theatres.
On the opening day, Excel Entertainment (North India) reported tremendous occupancy and registered the highest opening of the year and Yash’s career as well with 53.95 crores. By remaining strong throughout, KGF 2 managed to collect the amount of 46.79 crores on Friday, 42.90 crores on Saturday and 50.35 crores on Sunday.
After the weekend, total collection of the movie was recorded as 193.99 crores on domestic box office. Now Hombale Films’ production has entered in weekdays and still has excellent hold over the audience across the country. On Monday, it reported a slight drop of 45.57% vis-a-vis Friday and collected the amount of 25.57 crores, which has made its 4 days domestic total as 219.56 crores.
The sequel to the hit ‘KGF’ series has definitely made its place in the hearts of fans, which is quite evident from its box office collections. The film is on a winning streak and is breaking its own record created by the first part which was released in 2018.
