Kantara Chapter 1 8th day box office collection: The Kannada film Kantara Chapter 1 has emerged as one of the most talked-about movies of the year, and its impressive box office performance in the first week proves why. Written and directed by Rishab Shetty, who also stars in the film, Kantara Chapter 1 has not only captivated audiences with its gripping storytelling but has also managed to dominate the box office from day one.
In its first week, Kantara Chapter 1 (Hindi) delivered an outstanding performance at the box office, collecting a total of Rs 110.10 crore. The film opened strong on Thursday with Rs 18.50 crore, setting the tone for a successful run. Friday saw a slight dip with Rs 13.50 crore, but the weekend brought a major boost — Rs 20 crore on Saturday and Rs 23 crore on Sunday, thanks to positive word-of-mouth and increasing audience interest.
As the weekdays began, collections naturally dipped but remained solid: Monday brought in Rs 8.70 crore, Tuesday rose slightly to Rs 11.20 crore, followed by Rs 8.20 crore on Wednesday. The film wrapped up its first week with Rs 7 crore on 2nd Thursday. This consistent performance across all days showcases the film’s wide appeal and strong hold over audiences throughout its opening week.
As the buzz continues to grow, the film is expected to maintain its momentum in the coming weeks. Given its strong performance, it could surpass Rs 150 crores by the end of the second week, especially if the movie keeps up its strong presence in cinemas.
Produced by Hombale Films, Kantara Chapter 1 also features Rukmini Vasanth, Jayaram and Gulshan Devaiah in lead roles. The film released in theatres on October 2 worldwide, with premiere shows in selected theatres on October 1.
