Suriya, Bobby Deol and Disha Patani starrer highly-awaited pan-India film Kanguva is finally in theatres and has taken a decent start at the box office.
On Thursday, Kanguva had started its journey at a decent note in the morning with more than 35% occupancy and remained decent throughout the day despite mixed reviews. As a result, it has earned Rs 24 crore net on its opening day in India.
On the other hand, one of the much awaited Telugu movies of the year Matka has also been released at the box office. Directed by Karuna Kumar, it has also received mixed reviews from the critics as well as the audience.
As a result, the movie opened on a slow note but witnessed some growth post noon shows and but registered low numbers of Rs 0.70 crores at the domestic box office on Thursday.
