Raj Kamal Films International (RKFI) today began shooting for the much-awaited new film ‘Dharman’ starring Superstar Rajinikanth. The title and first look of the film were unveiled today. It has emerged as one of the most exciting projects in the Indian film industry in recent times.
Released with the powerful tagline ‘The Deadly Doctor’, this poster is generating a lot of interest among the audience. Rajinikanth is seen standing in the operation theatre, wearing an operation gown and dark glasses. His look is very interesting as he is seen smiling while holding a bloodstained scalpel in his hand.
The friendship between Kamal Haasan and Superstar Rajinikanth is rare in the history of world cinema. These two giants, who have been at the top of the Indian film industry for more than five decades, are working together for the first time as producer-actor through the film ‘Dharman’. Produced by Kamal Haasan and R. Mahendran under the banner of Raaj Kamal Films International, this film is the first film in which Superstar Rajinikanth will act in RKFI’s production. This is a proud moment in the 46-year journey of RKFI, one of the most prominent studios in the Indian film industry.
The film is directed by Ashwath Marimuthu, who has carved a niche for himself in the Indian film industry and is considered one of the most interesting young directors.
Along with superstar Rajinikanth, the film stars Simran, one of the most popular actresses in the South Indian film industry, and Raashi Khanna, known for her stellar performances in Tamil, Telugu, and Hindi films.
Internationally acclaimed Anirudh Ravichander is composing the music for the film. National Award-winning duo ‘Anbariv’, known for creating some of the most spectacular action sequences in Indian cinema, is handling the action choreography. Niketh Bommireddy is the cinematographer and Karthik Rajkumar is the production designer. Pradeep E. Raghav is the editor for the film, while Annadurai is the art director. Disney is also co-producing it.
The shooting of the film began today in Chennai with a grand opening ceremony in the presence of the cast, technicians, production team, and distinguished guests.
Speaking at the film launch event, Kamal Haasan said, “I have a friendship and journey with Rajinikanth of almost 50 years. It has always been a desire of ours to do a film together. After many years of discussions, that dream is now coming true in the form of not one, but two films. I am grateful to the audience and the film industry for supporting us to reach this level. This project is special. I thank Mahendran garu and the Raj Kamal Films International team. We have complete faith in the entire team, including director Ashwath Marimuthu and music director Anirudh. Rajinikanth said.. I am very happy to do this film for Kamal Haasan’s Raj Kamal Films International. This project is being directed by Ashwath Marimuthu wonderfully. When Kamal had complete faith in my decision regarding the story, I felt more responsible. I asked him to listen to the story first. Only after he liked it did this project go ahead. Ashwath is a very talented director. I have complete faith in him and the entire team. This is a collective effort of everyone. We are all working with the aim of giving a good film. My friendship with Kamal is more than 50 years old. He has helped me in many ways since the days when my film journey began. People know very little about our friendship. His help and guidance have been great. I am happy to act with Simran again after ‘Petta’. The strong characters, entertainment, thrills and excellent music provided by Anirudh in the film will impress the audience.
