Kalki 2898 AD box office collection day 7: Director Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2898 AD is going from strength to strength at the box office, both domestically and worldwide. After a record-breaking week in theatres, Kalki 2898 AD nett box office stands at Rs 392 crore in India, and a gross total of over Rs 700 crore worldwide.
Produced by Vyjayanthi Movies, the epic sci-fi Kalki 2898 AD took a solid start at the box office and did a business of Rs 22.50 crores nett on Thursday. On Friday, it remained massive and collected Rs 23.25 crores. Over the weekend, the film took a healthy jump and garnered Rs 26.25 on Saturday and Rs 40.15 crores on Sunday.
Then on weekdays, the Prabhas-starrer maintained a fantastic pace despite a significant drop in footfall and managed to collect Rs 16.50 crores on Monday. With further decline, Kalki 2898 AD bagged Rs 13 crores on Tuesday and Rs 11.50 crores on Wednesday. After 7 days, it registered a total of Rs 153.15 crores nett from its Hindi version.
Besides Prabhas, the film features Deepika Padukone, Amitabh Bachchan, Kamal Haasan, and Disha Patani in key roles.
It also has cameos by Vijay Devarakonda, Dulquer Salmaan, Mrunal Thakur and Anna Ben.
