On Wednesday i.e October 4th, actress Alia Bhatt began the shooting for her next film, titled Jigra. She took her social media handle to share the exciting details with her fans and shared a bunch of BTS pictures from the sets.
Sharing the post, Alia wrote, “& we’re rolling .. day one of bringing our jigra to life.. stay tuned as we bring to you a piece of our hearts.. fingers and toes crossed for the journey aheaddddddd .. love TEAM JIGRA.”
Jigra is expected to be a compelling prison escape thriller with a main storyline centered around the close relationship between a brother and sister.
Directed by Vasan Bala, the movie, which will see Alia in the lead, will also mark her second venture into film production under her banner, Eternal Sunshine Productions, after her 2022 Netflix hit, Darlings.
Produced by Karan Johar, Apoorva Mehta, Somen Mishra, and Alia Bhatt, Jigra will be released in cinemas on September 27 next year.
