Jailer 7th day box office collection: Superstar Rajinikanth’s Jailer that hit screens last week seems to be breaking box office records. On Wednesday, a week after the film’s release, Jailer reportedly crossed Rs 150 crore in Tamil Nadu.
In the opening weekend, it did the business of Rs 107.13 crores which included Rs 29.46 crores on Thursday, Rs 20.25 crores on Friday, Rs 26.38 crores on Saturday & 31.04 crores on Sunday.
On Monday, Nelson’ directorial had managed to collect Rs 15.70 crore. Due to a holiday on Tuesday, the film earned Rs 24.85 crores. Then on the next day i.e. Wednesday, it has raked Rs 11.34 crore and raised its 7 days total collection to Rs 159.02 crores at Tamil Nadu box office.
Touted to be an action-packed entertainer, the film also stars Tamannaah Bhatia, Jackie Shroff, Ramya Krishnan, Priyanka Mohan, Shiva Rajkumar, Yogi Babu, Vasanth Ravi and Vinayakan in prominent roles. Malayalam superstar Mohanlal has an extended cameo in the film.
Produced by Sun Pictures, Jailer has Rajinikanth as the father of a police officer.
