Housefull 5 was released in theaters on June 6, 2025, featuring a star-studded cast including Akshay Kumar, Riteish Deshmukh, Abhishek Bachchan, and Jacqueline Fernandez. Despite its high production value and ensemble cast, the film received mixed reviews from both critics and fans, largely due to its lackluster writing and direction.

While the movie failed to meet box office expectations and was considered a disappointment, it attempted to innovate with a unique “dual-climax” strategy, offering two separate endings (Housefull 5A and Housefull 5B) to its murder mystery plot.
Now, the film is streaming on Prime Video (with OTTplay Premium subscribers also able to access it with a top-up) and is set for a World TV premiere on October 11 on Star Gold India.
As part of the promotional push for its TV debut, the cast sat down for a discussion about the future of the franchise, hinting at what fans can expect from Housefull 6. The video, shared on their official X account, featured Akshay Kumar, Abhishek Bachchan, Riteish Deshmukh, Jacqueline Fernandez, Sonam Bajwa, and Nargis Fakhri.
During the discussion, the cast playfully shared their thoughts on what Housefull 6 could look like: Riteish Deshmukh quipped, “I think Housefull 6 should be a horror comedy, ghosts and all,” adding with a laugh, “And if the ladies come in the film without makeup, then we’ll have something really funny!”
Akshay Kumar suggested a more fantastical direction, saying, “I think in Housefull 6, the entire cast will die and then we all go up to heaven. It’ll be a journey between hell and heaven. But of course, they’re all housefull!”
Abhishek Bachchan pitched an exciting new concept, saying, “I have a good idea! Housefull 6 should be a superhero film. A house full of superheroes. How cool would that be?”.
While the future of the Housefull series seems to have exciting possibilities, fans will have to wait to see which direction the franchise takes.
