“I don’t take myself seriously, but I do take my work seriously,” says Taapsee Pannu

Taapsee Pannu, known for her dedication and strong performances in a variety of films, tackles complex characters so efficiently and isn’t afraid to push boundaries. Apart from the silver screen, Taapsee offers a refreshing perspective on handling setbacks. Let’s delve into her thoughts on facing failure and how it fuels her passion for her craft.

"I don't take myself seriously, but I do take my work seriously," says Taapsee Pannu

On facing failures in life, Taapsee revealed, “I feel people here take themselves too seriously. They keep thinking, ‘What will happen if I fail?’ First of all, you aren’t from a royal family. It’s not like your kingdom would collapse if you fail. We are just a small speck of dust in the universe, but ask too much from ourselves.”

She further added, “This is the reason why I don’t take myself seriously, but I do take my work seriously. People say no one will take you seriously if you don’t take yourself seriously, I disagree. People see me for my work that I am very serious about.”

Talking about her professional career, Taapsee Pannu acted notably well in the role as an undercover agent in ‘Baby’ alongside Akshay Kumar. She further gave her best performances in films like ‘Haseen Dilruba’ – a franchise she totally owns, ‘Manmarziyaan’, ‘Judwaa 2’, ‘Saand Ki Aankh’, ‘Mission Mangal’, and ‘Thappad’.

Her latest film, “Dunki,” directed by the renowned Rajkumar Hirani, is just another example of how she holds a place for a self on the silver, and shines. Totally the one!
