Filmmaker Rohit Shetty is set to expand his slate of upcoming projects with Hum Tere Pyaar Mein, a romantic drama that will mark actress Krithi Shetty’s debut as a leading lady in Bollywood. The film has reportedly gone on floors and will introduce Vidhi Ghodgaonkar as a director after nearly 17 years of working closely with Shetty.
According to a report by Bollywood Hungama, the film has been titled Hum Tere Pyaar Mein. The title is said to reflect the romantic narrative while bringing a nostalgic, old-school charm to the project.
Vidhi Ghodgaonkar Makes Her Directorial Debut
Hum Tere Pyaar Mein marks an important milestone for Vidhi Ghodgaonkar, who has spent years learning the craft of filmmaking under Rohit Shetty’s guidance. She has worked as an assistant director on several of his notable films, including Golmaal 3, Singham, Bol Bachchan, Chennai Express, Singham Returns, Dilwale, Golmaal Again and Simmba.
Her association with Shetty’s projects also extends to the web series Indian Police Force. In addition to her work behind the camera, Ghodgaonkar has contributed to the writing teams of films and projects such as Sooryavanshi, Cirkus, Indian Police Force and Singham Again.

For Krithi Shetty, the film presents an opportunity to establish herself in Hindi cinema after building a strong presence in South Indian films. She first appeared in a small role in Hrithik Roshan’s Super 30 (2019), but rose to prominence with the Telugu romantic drama Uppena (2021), which marked her debut as a leading actress.
She subsequently featured in films such as Shyam Singha Roy, Bangarraju, Custody, Manamey and the Malayalam film ARM. Her work across Telugu, Tamil and Malayalam cinema has helped her develop a diverse filmography.
