The newly released poster presents a powerful and intense visual, featuring a fierce warrior standing amid a battlefield, gripping a heavily blood-stained battle axe. The imagery reflects the film’s central theme of justice and retribution, with the character symbolizing a force that rises when righteousness, or dharma, is threatened.
Sharing the poster on social media, the studio captioned it with a bold message: “WHEN DHARMA FALLS, THE PARSHU RISES. Presenting the next from the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe #MahavatarParshuraam Coming December 2027. Not a ruler, but a force against adharma, restoring balance across ages. Wishing you a blessed #ParshuramJayanti.”
Mahavatar Parshuram is directed by Ashwin Kumar and follows the earlier announcement of the Mahavatar Cinematic Universe slate, which was unveiled in 2025 through a collaboration between Hombale Films and Kleem Productions. The first film in the franchise, Mahavatar Narsimha, set the foundation for this mythologically inspired animated series.
While the makers have confirmed that Mahavatar Parshuram will hit theatres in December 2027, the exact release date is yet to be disclosed. With its striking first look and mythological roots, the film is already generating significant anticipation among audiences.
The Mahavatar Cinematic Universe aims to bring ancient legends to life through high-quality animation and storytelling, exploring timeless themes of balance, duty, and the eternal struggle between good and evil.
