Writer-director Vishal Chaturvedi is making a remarkable mark in Indian cinema with his debut film Hanuman Ansh, which has crossed Rs 346 crore net at the Indian box office and approximately Rs 460 crore worldwide, according to the latest trade estimates. With 87 days completed in cinemas and the film currently in its 88th day, its sustained theatrical run has placed Vishal among the notable debut directors whose first films have delivered significant commercial success.

With these reported collections, Hanuman Ansh has surpassed the box-office numbers of several successful directorial debuts. Aditya Dhar’s Uri: The Surgical Strike collected approximately Rs 245 crore net in India and Rs 342 crore worldwide, while Amar Kaushik’s Stree earned around Rs 130 crore in India and Rs 182 crore worldwide. Vishal’s film has surpassed both films on the reported domestic and worldwide figures, setting a significant benchmark for his directorial debut.
The spiritual drama, inspired by the life of Baba Neem Karoli, has completed 87 days in cinemas and continues its theatrical run. The film’s box-office performance reflects the hard work, creative conviction and determination behind Vishal Chaturvedi’s directorial venture.
Making a mark with a debut film is a considerable achievement, particularly in an industry where audience expectations and box-office competition continue to evolve. With Hanuman Ansh, Vishal has delivered a performance that places his name alongside filmmakers who established themselves through successful first outings.
The film has strengthened Vishal’s position among India’s most successful commercial debut directors. Currently, the doctor-turned-filmmaker is working on his next project, Rambola, based on the life of Goswami Tulsidas. Produced by Mahaveer Jain, Vishal Chaturvedi and Raghuvendra Singh, the film is expected to go on floors early next year.
