Ranveer Singh’s much-awaited musical entertainer Gully Boy showed a solid uptrend over the opening weekend at the box office after registering the biggest opening day business of his career. Co-starring Alia Bhatt and Kalki Koechin.
Directed by Zoya Akhtar, Gully Boy has got succeed to entertain many in theatres and received mostly positive reviews from the critics. Also, the film is getting huge support from the audience nationwide which is visible by its massive box office numbers.
On the opening day, Excel Entertainment’s presentation took an expected terrific start and did the business of 19.40 crores. Then on Friday, it recorded a significant drop but still managed to remain strong and bagged the business of 13.10 crores.
Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt attained the pace back and collected the amount of 18.65 crores on Saturday & 21.30 crores on Sunday. After the 4-days extended opening weekend, the total collection of the movie was recorded as 72.45 crores from 3350 screens across India.
On Monday, it minted the amount of 8.65 crores, while 8.05 crores on Tuesday. On Wednesday, the film got dropped but still managed to collect 6.05 crores. On the next day i.e. Thursday, Gully Boy faced a further drop and raked the business of 5.10 crores. With this, its one week total collection has become 100.30 crores from 3350 screens at the domestic box office.
