Producer Vinod Bachchan is coming back with the sequel to Ginny Weds Sunny. The 2020 Netflix films that featured Vikrant Massey and Yami Gautam in the lead roles. Now its sequel that was announced in May 2025 with the fresh pairing- Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankr, has also got its release date.
The release date for ‘Ginny Wedss Sunny 2’, starring Avinash Tiwary and Medha Shankar, has been confirmed for April 24. The makers unveiled the film’s poster on Thursday.
The poster shared by the makers on social media shows Avinash in the guise of a wrestler doing push-ups and Medha sitting atop him.
According to a press note, the story is set against the contrasting worlds of a tough wrestler and a free-spirited girl, exploring the chaos and charm that arise when their lives intersect.
The cast also includes Lillete Dubey, Sudhir Pandey, Govind Namdev, Gopi Bhalla, Nayani Dixit, Vishwanath Chatterjee, and Rohit Chaudhary. The film is produced by Vinod Bachchan and Umesh Kumar Bansal, and directed by Prasshant Jha.
