Disney Plus Hotstar, today, unveiled the official trailer of Gaslight. The film unfolds around a large royal estate, where dark secrets are buried, starring Sara Ali Khan, Chitrangda Singh and Vikrant Massey.
The trailer begins with Chitrangda Sinha welcoming her stepdaughter Sara to their ancestral home. While Chitrangda’s character seemed twisted, she tries to hide about the murder of the king but Sara soon finds out as she gets haunted by her father’s ghost, who tries to show her the truth. Vikrant Massey plays the role of the King’s personal assistant, who takes care of everything the king needs. However, between the visions and web of lies, Sara gets embroiled and tries to find the truth.
Talking about the film, ANI quoted Sara saying, “Gaslight has been a learning curve for me, the character and story is very distinctive from the ones I have played before. The film has given me an opportunity to expand my horizons in acting and introduce different shades of Sara to my fans.”
“It is an interesting whodunit and will keep the audience at the edge of their seats till the end. It has been an exciting journey during the shoot. Gaslight also marks my second association with Disney+ Hotstar and I am looking forward to audience’s reactions once they watch it,” she added.
Gaslight is directed by Pavan Kripalani, known for horror films like Ragini MMS and Phobia and the 2021 horror-comedy Bhoot Police. This is Sara’s second direct-to-digital release after Atrangi Re (also on Disney+ Hotstar).
