Tiger Shroff and Kriti Sanon starrer Ganapath has received huge disappointment at the box office. Despite positive comments from leading sections of the industry and critics, the post apocalyptic dystopian action film failed to attract the audience.
Directed by Vikas Bahl, the film garnered a business of only Rs 6.75 crores at the weekend which included Rs 2.50 crores on Friday, Rs 2.25 crores on Saturday, and Rs 2.25 crores on Sunday. Then on weekdays, the film reported a big drop in footfalls and did a business of Rs 1.30 crores on Monday. Due to Dussehra holiday on Tuesday, it scored Rs 1.50 crores and registered a 5-day total of Rs 9.80 crores net at the domestic box office.
In parallel, Divya Khosla Kumar, Meezaan Jafri and Pearl V Puri starrer Yaariyan 2 did the business of Rs 3.50 crores in the first weekend with Rs 1.20 crore on Friday, Rs 1.30 crores on Saturday & Rs 1 crores on Sunday. On Monday and Tuesday, it has managed to collect the amount of Rs 0.50 crore and Rs 0.30 crore respectively. After 5 days, the total collection of the film has become Rs 4.30 crores nett.
On the other hand, Ravi Teja’s Pan-India’s film Tiger Nageswara Rao did a business of Rs 6.55 crores on Friday. Instead of Uptrend, the period action-drama Showing downtrend over the weekend, the film minted an amount of Rs 4.13 crores on Saturday and Rs 4.60 crores on Sunday.
On weekdays, it recorded a significant drop in footfalls and managed to rake a business of Rs 4.06 crores on Monday. Then on Tuesday, due to holiday, it bagged an amount of Rs 5.35 crores and registered a total of Rs 24.69 crores nett at the domestic box office within 5 days.
