Gadar 2 And OMG 2 box office collection day 4: After a rocking opening weekend, Gadar 2 has entered on weekdays at a solid note and joined the 150-crore club within just 4 days of release. While on the other hand, satirical comedy-drama OMG 2 is running decently but lagging behind by a huge margin.
Over the weekend, Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2 had remained super strong and did the business of Rs 134.88 crores that included Rs 40.10 crores on Friday, Rs 43.08 crores on Saturday & Rs 51.70 crores on Sunday. On Monday, it remained super-strong and managed to collect 38.70 crores and raised 4 days total collection to 173.58 crores nett.
The film is a sequel to Sunny Deol’s 2001 blockbuster Gadar: Ek Prem Katha. He has reprised his iconic role of Tara Singh while Ameesha Patel returns as Sakeena and Ukarsh Sharma as Charanjeet.
The adjacent Hindi release, Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 had raked the business of Rs 43.11 crores with Rs 10.26 crores on Friday, Rs 15.30 crores on Saturday & Rs 17.55 crores on Sunday. On Monday, it has remanined good and minted Rs 12.06 crores. With this, its 4 days total domestic collection has become Rs 55.17 crores nett.
OMG 2 is a spiritual sequel to OMG – Oh My God! The film focuses on the sensitive subject of sex education. Akshay Kumar essays the role of lord Shiva’s messenger while Pankaj Tripathi plays the role of a believer of God. Yami Gautam reprises the role of an advocate that stands against Pankaj Tripathi’s character.
