Gadar 2 and OMG 2 box office collection day 31: Sunny Deol starrer ‘Gadar 2 has surpassed the lifetime box office collection of Baahubali 2: The Conclusion (Rs 510.99 cr) in the Hindi belt and the became the second highest-grossing Hindi movie in India.
Directed by Anil Sharma, In the last 4 weeks, Gadar 2: The Katha Continues did the business of Rs 284.63 in the first week, Rs 134.47 crores in the second, Rs 63.35 crores in the third week & Rs 27.55 crores in the fourth week.
The period action drama started the 5th weekend on a steady note and minted the amount of Rs 1.05 crores on Friday. With a minor jump over the Saturday & Sunday, it bagged Rs 1.85 crores & Rs 2.13 crores respectively. After 31 days, the total collection of the film has become Rs 515.03 crores at the domestic box office.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 is also running well at the box office since its release and did the business of Rs 85.05 crores in the first, Rs 41.37 crores in the second, Rs 15.40 crores in the third & Rs 7.10 crores in the fourth week.
Amit Rai’s directorial had started the fifth weekend at a low note and minted 0.12 crore on 5th Friday. On the next day i.e. 5th Saturday, it remains low and bagged the amount of Rs 0.15 crore. Then on 5th Sunday, the film has managed to score Rs 0.20 crore* and raised a month total collection to Rs 149.39 crores nett.
