Gadar 2 and OMG 2 box office collection day 28: Two most-awaited sequels of the year, Sunny Deol’s Hindi period action drama Gadar 2 and Akshay Kumar’s comedy-drama OMG 2 has completed four weeks run at the box office.
Gadar 2 has impressed everyone and did the business of Rs 482.45 crores with Rs 284.63 crores in the first, Rs 134.47 crores in the second and Rs 63.35 crores in the third week. In the fourth weekend, it had scored Rs 18.72 crores which included Rs 5.20 crore on Friday, Rs 5.72 crore on Saturday & Rs 7.80 crores on Sunday.
On 4th Monday, Anil Sharma’s directorial had faced a slight drop and minted Rs 2.50 crore. Further at a steady note, it had bagged the amount of Rs 2.55 crore on 4th Tuesday & Rs 2.70 crore on 4th Wednesday. On the next day i.e. 4th Thursday, the film has managed to collect Rs 1.08 crore and raised 28 days total collection to Rs 510 crores nett.
In parallel, OMG 2 did the business of Rs 85.05 crores in the first, Rs 41.37 crores in the second and Rs 15.40 crores in the third week. In the fourth weekend, it had scored 4.23 crores with Rs 1.10 crore on Friday, Rs 1.60 crore on Saturday & Rs 2.20 crores on Sunday.
On weekdays, Amit Rai’s directorial got dropped further and minted the amount of Rs 0.75 crore on 4th Monday, 0.65 crore on 4th Tuesday & Rs 0.60 crore on 4th Wednesday. On the next day i.e. 4th Thursday, the film has scored Rs 0.20 crore and raised its 4 weeks total collection to Rs 148.92 crores nett at the domestic box office.
