Gadar 2 and OMG 2 box office collection day 18: Sunny Deol, Ameesha Patel’s film Gadar 2 released in the9atres on the occasion of Independence Day. The movie faced a Box Office clash with Akshay Kumar’s OMG 2.
Helmed by Anil Sharma, the Hindi period action drama had raked the business of Rs 284.63 crores in the opening week. In the second week as well, it had remained strong and did the business of Rs 134.47 crores.
Then in the third weekend, Gadar 2 had faced a significant drop but eventually retained the pace and bagged Rs 36.95 crores that included Rs 7.10 crores on Friday, Rs 13.75 crores on Saturday & Rs 16.10 crores on Sunday. On 3rd Monday, it has managed to collect Rs 4.60 crores and raised its 18 days total collection to Rs 460.05 crores at the domestic box office.
On the other hand, Amit Rai’s directorial OMG 2 had bagged the amount of Rs 85.05 crores in the opening week at an excellent note. In the second week also, it had remained steady and garnered Rs 41.37 crores.
In the third weekend, OMG 2 had bagged the amount of Rs 9.50 crores with Rs 2 crore on Friday, Rs 3.50 crore on Saturday & Rs 4 crores on Sunday. On 3rd Monday, it has scored 1.20 crore and raised its 18 days total collection to Rs 137.12 crores nett.
