Gadar 2 and OMG 2 box office collection day 17: Sunny Deol’s Gadar 2 continued to find audiences in the third weekend as well. While, Akshay Kumar starrer OMG 2 has remained to remain decent throughout.
Helmed by Anil Sharma, the Hindi period action drama had raked the business of Rs 284.63 crores in the opening week. In the second week as well, it had remained strong and did the business of Rs 134.47 crores. On 3rd Friday, Gadar 2 had recorded a significant drop in footfalls and minted Rs 7.10 crores.
Over the weekend, the film showed good growth and bagged the amount of Rs 13.75 crores on 3rd Saturday & Rs 16.10 crores on 3rd Sunday. After 17 days, the total collection of Gadar 2 has become Rs 456.05 crores. With this, Gadar 2 becomes fastest to cross Rs 450 crore mark after Pathaan in 18 days and Baahubali 2 (Hindi) in 20 days and also surpassed the lifetime total of 2.0 (All versions / 447.34 crores).
On the other hand, Amit Rai’s directorial OMG 2 had bagged the amount of Rs 85.05 crores in the opening week at an excellent note. In the second week also, it had remained steady and garnered Rs 41.37 crores.
On 3rd Friday, Cape of Good Films, Viacom18 Studios & Wakaoo Films’ production had scored Rs 2 crore after a little drop. Over the weekend, it has picked up decently and minted Rs 3.50 crore on 3rd Saturday & Rs 4 crores on 3rd Sunday. After 17 days, the total collection of OMG 2 has become Rs 135.92 crores.
