Gadar 2 and OMG 2 box office collection day 14: Anil Sharma’s directorial Gadar 2 and Amit Rai’s OMG 2 are running successfully in theaters. Both the films, released on August 10 on the occasion of Independence Day.
The Hindi period action drama Gadar 2 had raked a superb business of Rs 284.63 crores in the first week that included Rs 134.88 crores in the weekend and Rs 149.75 crores on weekdays. In the second weekend as well, it had maintained a strong pace and bagged Rs 90.47 crores that included Rs 20.50 crores on Friday, Rs 31.07 crores on Saturday & Rs 38.90 crores on Sunday.
Then on weekdays, Sunny Deol and Ameesha Patel starrer had recorded a usual drop but still managed to remain strong and garnered the amount of Rs 13.50 crores on 2nd Monday, Rs 12.10 crores on 2nd Tuesday & Rs 10 crores on 2nd Wednesday. On the next day i.e. 3rd Thursday, the film has minted Rs 8.40 crores and raised 2 weeks total collection to Rs 419.10 crores nett.
On the other hand, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘OMG 2’ had raked the business of Rs 85.05 crores in the first week that included Rs 43.11 crores in the weekend and Rs 41.94 crores on weekdays. Then in the second weekend, Amit Rai’s directorial had collected Rs 28.62 crores with Rs 6.03 crores on Friday, Rs 10.53 crores on Saturday & Rs 12.06 crores on Sunday.
On weekdays, despite a usual drop in footfalls, Cape of Good Films, Viacom18 Studios & Wakaoo Films’ production had managed to collect Rs 3.70 crores on 2nd Monday, Rs 3.25 crores on 2nd Tuesday & Rs 3 crores on 2nd Wednesday. With a further decline, the film has collected 2.80 crores and raised 2 weeks total collection to Rs 126.42 crores nett.
