Gadar 2 and OMG 2 box office collection day 13: Sunny Deol starrer Gadar 2, which hit the screens on 10th August, continues to create magic at the box office. The film has also turned out to be Deol’s first film to cross the Rs 300-crore mark.
Helmed by Anil Sharma, the film had raked a phenomenal business of Rs 284.63 crores in the first week with Rs 134.88 crores in the first weekend and Rs 149.75 crores on weekdays. Then in the second weekend as well, Anil Sharma’s directorial had remained strong and did the business of Rs 90.47 crores that included Rs 20.50 crores on Friday, Rs 31.07 crores on Saturday & Rs 38.90 crores on Sunday.
Now Gadar 2 is running on weekdays and still has a strong hold over the audience nationwide. With a usual drop in footfalls, it had managed to collect Rs 13.50 crores on 2nd Monday & Rs 12.10 crores on 2nd Tuesday. On the next day i.e. 2nd Wednesday, Gadar 2 has minted Rs 10 crores and raised 13 days total collection to Rs 410.70 crores at the domestic box office.
While, Akshay Kumar starrer ‘OMG 2’ had raked the business of Rs 85.05 crores in the first week that included Rs 43.11 crores in the weekend and Rs 41.94 crores on weekdays. Then in the second weekend, Amit Rai’s directorial had collected Rs 28.62 crores with Rs 6.03 crores on Friday, Rs 10.53 crores on Saturday & Rs 12.06 crores on Sunday.
On weekdays, Amit Rai’s directorial had recorded a usual drop in footfalls and collected the amount of Rs 3.70 crores on 2nd Monday & Rs 3.25 crores on 2nd Tuesday. On the next day i.e. 2nd Wednesday, it has scored 3 crores and raised 13 days total collection to Rs 123.62 crores domestically.
