After a solid opening weekend, Hollywood biggie Hobbs & Shaw has slipped down on weekdays and registered a decent first week at the Indian box office. Due to a super-positive word of mouth, it has successfully dominated all the new & existing Hindi offerings in parallel.
Hobbs & Shaw is the presented by American action thriller Fast & Furious. With its solid plot and edge-of-the-seat thrilling actions & stunts, the movie has received rave reviews from the critics as well as the audience globally including India.
Universal Pictures’ presentation was released amid the huge excitement and as expected opening on an impressive note across the country. By witnessing remarkable growth over the weekend, it did the business of 42.90 crores nett that included 13.15 crores of Friday, 13.75 crores of Saturday & 16 crores of Sunday.
Then on weekdays despite a usual drop in footfalls, Hobbs & Shaw raked the business of 5.59 crores on Monday, 5.30 crores on Tuesday, and 4.45 crores on Wednesday. On the next day i.e. Thursday, it minted the amount of 4.08 crores and raised its one week total collection to 62.32 crores nett at the Indian box office.
Fast & Furious Presents: Hobbs & Shaw is released in English, Hindi, Tamil and Telugu languages in 2,100 screens across India. In Fast & Furious – Hobbs & Shaw, Dwayne Johnson will be seen as Luke Hobbs, who works for the US Diplomatic Security Service, while Jason Statham plays the role of Deckard Shaw, a former UK Special Forces assassin-turned-mercenary.
