The trailer of Bhumi Pednekar’s much-awaited horror film ‘Durgamati: The Myth’ has been released and is as scary and thrilling as is possible. The ‘Dolly Kitty Aur Woh Chamakte Sitare’ star is seen playing the role of an IAS officer.
The three minute trailer takes the viewers on a gripping ride and shows Bhumi locked up in a haunted house where she experiences extreme paranoia. She plays Chanchal Chauhan, who is in prison and who’s taken to a sprawling mansion called Durgamati Haveli.
Mahie Gill is an investigating officer and Arshad Warsi is a powerful politician who cannot be touched. There’s a mysterious woman called Durgamati who’s spirit enters into the body of Chanchal. Durgamati also stars Jisshu Sengupta and Karan Kapadia in prominent roles.
This is the dense plot of Durgamati, the remake of the Telugu hit, Bhaagamathie, which starred Anushka Shetty. The first thing that engulfs you in its world is the stunning camerawork and some scary scenes that promise jump-scare moments. And as always, Pednekar has immersed herself into a complex part.
Durgamati is written and directed by Ashok, produced by Vikram Malhotra and presented by Akshay Kumar under the Cape of Good Films banner, along with Bhushan Kumar under the T-Series Banner. Durgamati is set to premiere on December 11, 2020, on Amazon Prime Video.
