Dunki box office collection prediction day 1: Finally Dunki is all set to hit the screens tomorrow. Directed and edited by Rajkumar Hirani, it stars Shah Rukh Khan, Taapsee Pannu, Vicky Kaushal (billed as a special appearance), and Boman Irani.
The Shah Rukh Khan starrer is a light-hearted story of friendship, romance and patriotism. The film’s advance booking is decent and not extraordinary like Pathaan or Jawan.
According to the trade website sacnilk, Dunki sold 4.49 lakh tickets as of 7 p.m. on Wednesday, earning a total of Rs 12.57 crore for its first day of sales.
The movie is expected to end its advance booking run on the first day of release with a gross of approximately Rs 15 crore, significantly less than the advance ticket sales revenue of Pathaan, Jawan, or even Gadar 2.
As per the report, compiled on the basis of pre-release response and advance booking, Dunki is expected to receive overall occupancy of 60-65% on Indian screens. The opening day business of the movie is estimated to be around 32-35 crores.
