On the occasion of Jr NTR’s birthday on May 20, the makers unveiled the highly anticipated glimpse of Dragon, directed by Prashanth Neel, best known for the KGF series.
Backed by producers Nandamuri Kalyan Ram, Naveen Yerneni, Y. Ravi Shankar, and Kosaraju Harikrishna under Mythri Movie Makers and NTR Arts, Dragon promises a large-scale cinematic experience packed with intense action sequences.
The 4-minute-28-second glimpse introduces the film’s dark and gritty world, rooted in the history of India’s opium trade during the pre- and post-independence eras. The video also offers a look at several key characters portrayed by actors including Biju Menon, Rukmini Vasanth, Khushbu Sundar, Guru Somasundaram, Rajeev Kanakala, Ashutosh Rana, Anshuman Pushkar, Sidhant Gupta, Prabhas Srinu, Shatru, Shiva, and Bhimal Jeet Oberoi.
In the film, Jr NTR appears as a ruthless killer navigating a brutal land dominated by villains battling for control over the opium empire. One striking sequence shows him standing atop a mountain of dead bodies, underscoring the film’s violent and intense tone. The glimpse ends with a powerful reveal of Anil Kapoor as a police officer.
The film is slated for a theatrical release on June 11, 2027 in five languages — Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada, and Malayalam.
