Actor Dhanush is teaming with director Sekhar Kammula for his 51st film. Ahead of Dhanush’s 40th birthday on July 28, the makers made the announcement with a concept poster. It depicts a stack of currency notes splitting a city, hinting at inequality.
On July 27, sharing the poster on twitter, Sree Venkateswara Cinemas LLP wrote, “Presenting to you all the Next of multi-talented @dhanushkraja – #D51 🤘🏾💸 #HappyBirthdayDhanush ❤️ A @sekharkammula film. Shoot begins soon.”
The title look poster shows a slum area and an urban area divided by currency notes with the tentative title ‘D51’. This movie will be made in Tamil, Telugu, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
D51 is produced by Suniel Narang and Puskur Ram Mohan Rao under their banner Sree Venkateswara Cinemas, in association with Amigos Creations. It will feature Dhanush in a ‘never before seen’ avatar, with the makers in talks with some big names from the Indian film industry.
As per sources, legendary actor Nagarjuna, Sai Pallavi and Rashmika Mandanna are in talks to act in the film. The cast and crew will be officially announced later after the things are finalised.
