Devara Part 1 box office collection day 1: Finally, after a long wait, Jr NTR, Saif Ali Khan and Janhvi Kapoor starrer Devara has hit the screens today. The film has been released in five languages including Telugu, Tamil, Hindi, Kannada and Malayalam.
Directed by Koratala Siva, Devara has received a mixed response from both audiences and critics. As the result, the film saw an overall occupancy of 75%. Morning shows reported an impressive 80% occupancy, while evening shows maintained a solid 70%.
Despite the mixed reception across languages, Devara – Part 1 has managed to earn Rs 82.95 crores (Telugu Rs 73.25 cr, Hindi Rs 7.95 cr, Kannada Rs 0.35, Tamil Rs 1 cr, Malayalam Rs 0.40 cr) India net on its first day.
With strong word-of-mouth and a positive reception from the Telugu audience, the film is expected to continue its upward trajectory over the weekend.
