After a low opening on Friday, the Hindi period comedy-drama Cirkus has remained almost flat over the weekend due to negative word of mouth and registered an average 3-day total at the box office.
Featuring Ranveer Singh, Varun Sharma, Pooja Hegde and Jacqueline Fernandez in the lead roles. Cirkus failed to create the desired impact on critics as well as the audience due to its outdated storyline and weak direction.
On Friday, Rohit Shetty Productionz and T-Series Films’ production had started its journey at a dull note with around 10-15% occupancy in the morning. Post noon shows, after a slight improvement, it had raked the opening business of 6.25 crores. While on Saturday, it showed a little jump and minted 6.40 crores.
On the next day i.e. Sunday, Cirkus has managed to pick up further and bagged the amount of 8.20 crores. After the opening weekend, its total collection has become 20.85 crores nett at the domestic box office. As per the current trend, it doesn’t seem to remain steady on weekdays.
The film also stars Siddhartha Jadhav, Sanjay Mishra, Murli Sharma, Sulbha Arya, and Vrajesh Hirjee, among others. It also features Deepika Padukone in special appearances.
